Wow, The Warning has gone a little heavier with their new single Choke which is the first single from their upcoming third full-length. If this is the direction that the three sisters from Mexico are going I hope they don’t mind I go along.
Symphonic Metal can sound sometimes a little too sweet and mellow but As Night Falls has a nice crusty edge to their sound, would be cool if I could catch them live someday, should be fun. Awareness is the title track for an upcoming album and if I’m not mistaken it’s their second full-length. No release date known yet so stay tuned for that.
Red Calling from the US is also a band I wanna see live someday, their Modern or Alternative Metal or Hardrock or whatever you wanna call it is freakin awesome. Torture is their latest single and they better make some more tunes like this cause I need it like a drug addict.
Black Moon Mother can best be described as psychedelic shit on speed I guess because what the fuck did I just watch? Did I like it? Fuck yeah, give me more.
Second Breath has been dropping singles since 2019 and with Reborn we’re at single number 5 and although the band stayed true to their style, progression is clearly notable, it all got sharper, more diverse, and overall a little harsher. Will keep my eye on them for sure.
Symphonic Metallers Aftertime released their full-length The Farthest Shore last year and made a video for the song Planetary Eyes. I was a little surprised to find out that they are from the US cause their music has all the European ingredients for great Symphonic Metal.
That’s a first, Ultraviolet Metal. I honestly can say that I never heard of that before but think of Modern Metal and you know in what direction the music from Divided Island can be positioned. The song Twice as Bright is the follow-up to their 2020 album Shades of Purple. The singer Ultraviolet uses the Russian language which gives the song a lovely Eastern Europe touch that I really like.
Purple Nail parted ways with their vocalist at the beginning of this year but got their old vocalist back, Lady Crow, and dropped a new song with Lady Crow on vocals. Ghost sounds really promising for the Goth Rock scene, more of this, please!
Dream Map is the collaboration between the Dutch singer Vivian Franken and multi-instrumentalist Norbert Gobor from Hungary. The debut album The Other Side has been released a few weeks ago and with Avalon an official video is presented. Symphonic Metal done the right way, had some serious fun while listening to the whole album.
