Do I want some Polish Melodeath? Yeah, for sure if it comes in the form of Moyra. The band is active since 2017 and after a few EP’s Moyra is ready to present its debut full-length on March 3rd, with the title Omen. Perception of Souls is the first single of Omen, and it definitely gives a taste for more. Looking forward to March 3rd.
Dharma, not to be confused with the fantastic Buddha Death Metal band from Taiwan, is greatly unknown to me and no matter how hard I tried to find anything about them, I just couldn’t find anything. And that’s strange, as the song and the video sounds and look good. There is only one song of Dharma available right now, but will definitely keep my eye on them.
Darktrail from Norway is new and is shaped on the remnants of the Goth Rock band Sacral Disorder. The band has still that Goth Rock style but have become more Rock/Metal and with the addition of Cecilia on vocals the band has for sure something interesting to offer. One song is out, hopefully more will follow.
Ieschure is a one-woman Black Metal phenomenon shaped by Lilita Arndt, and she lives in Ukraine, so she gets a big digital hug from me. Ieschure was formed in 2015 and since then a full-length and a few EPs were released and the latest EP, The Mystic Fields, was released a few days ago from which The Kingdom of Shades is taken. Expect impressive raw, dissonant Atmospheric Black Metal.
Crimson Crisis from Germany is new on the Alternative Metal front and has since its founding in 2022 three songs released, from which Kill Those Ghosts being the latter. You can clearly hear the progression the band is making between the songs and it turns out that Johanna has some mean screams up her sleeve. Definitely a band to watch out for.
Besides all the different styles of Metal we have nowadays, we also still have Metal in its purest form, Heavy Metal! So put your fist up in the air and bang your head. Sanhedrin will be doing a European tour with Ross the Boss this spring, and I will make sure to catch them live.
