Illusions of Grandeur dropped a new vid from the song Upon my Life taken from their 2021 album The Siren. I always loved the Theatrical modern sounding Groove Metal from them, especially due to the distinctive vocals from the siren herself, Maggie Carlton. Would love to hear some new tunes from them.
I was already very pleasant surprised by Seeking Tragedy‘s 2021 album Entropy and with To be Devoured the band shares a new single which is taken from the to be expected album From Dirt I Arose, As Ash I Return. Expect the most evil sounding Progressive Metalcore that you ever heard. From Dirt I Arose, As Ash I Return is out on April 7th, can’t wait.
Aversja from Poland is working hard to become my new favorite band from Poland. Wait was my first encounter with them, but I liked the song very much, so I did also check out their other songs, and they are all high quality Modern Metal. On March 31 their Debut full-length Odium will be released, take a guess what I will be doing that day.
And the single Fighter from Germany based Tag My Heart was also my first encounter with this Nu/Modern Metal band. Epic song and Tag My Heart is about to release their debut full-length somewhere around the summer of 2023. I hope they will release another single before the summer, because this shit is energetic, and I need more of it.
Finnish Pagan Metal queen Vermilia dropped a vid for Marras, a song from her second full-length album Ruska that was released back in 2022, and she’s doing a campaign right now to have it pressed onto vinyl. I preordered mine already.
It’s somewhat of a cliché that each new release of a band is better than the ones before but in the case of Eleine it’s really true, We are Legion is the first single of their fourth full-length album We Shall Remain, and it sounds just amazing and so powerful. Can’t wait for the full album to drop on July 14th 2023 via Atomic Fire Records.
