Face Yourself is gonna rip you a new A hole, recently they dropped their self-tiled EP, and it’s more devastating than the Tsar bomb. Fronted by Yasmine Liverneaux Belkhodja who lives in France, and she teamed up with the boys from New York. This band is going to be big in the Deathcore scene, mark my words.
And another band that is going to get more well deserved recognition is 0%Mercury from Ukraine. Welcome to the Next Level is their first single from an upcoming album that somewhere in the summer of this year will see the light of day. Let’s hope that it will be a beautiful day in freedom, but for now they get a big digital hug from me.
Almost 7 minutes of awesome Black Metal with insane vocals from Gina Wiklund who together with Ulf Blomberg form Black Birch in the woods of Sweden. The combination of the melodies and Gina’s screams creates an incredible atmosphere. Black Birch has three singles out so far, from which Fallen is the second. If this band doesn’t get signed soon, I’ll start up a label myself because I need more of this.
Sometimes I need to pay a little more attention to the bands whom’s music I like, as I was surprised to see another vocalist in Rage of Light. It turns out Martyna Halas took over the vocal duties from Melissa already back in 2021, and I missed their 2021 album Redemption, so shame on me. Upriser is the new single for Rage of Light and to me, it sounds as if the band got a little more mature, the flows between the trance parts and the melodic Death Metal are smoother and more incorporated into each other which makes Upriser a very pleasant song to listen to. And Martyna does an outstanding job with the vocals.
Snare released their first video ever with Trigger, the first single from upcoming album Open the Gates. I didn’t know the band before, but their music has something that intrigues me. Probably the swirl of Indie and Metal with the clean vocals from Kyara whom surprisingly has some mean growls as well.
Debut single for the Star Trek themed Metal band Of Romulus. Star Trek themed? That’s a first for me, but Of Romulus can bring me more singles or even an album because I like it. Curious what they will bring in the future.
