Synth Metal is not everyone’s cup of tea, especially not for the so-called true metalheads, whom are mostly boring people that only can complain about things. When it’s done right I can really enjoy Synth Metal en with the latest single from US based Midnight Sinfini I know I will enjoy it for the rest of my life, what an absolute beast of a song. Midnight Sinfini seems to have made some changes into their style, as I noticed that their previous work has a more Symphonic approach and Wasteland is much heavier. So, w’ll see what the future brings, for now I’m keeping Wasteland on repeat.

Sidus Atrum is the brainchild from Yulia Lykhotvor and after working together with Serhii Lykhotvor on the 2022 album Spiral of Life, Serhii has now become a full member of Sidus Atrum. With Сни Крізь Століття (Dreams Through Centuries) they have a new single out and the song is a continuation of the song Regression from the album Spiral of Life. Fantastic Melodic Black Metal, although Yulia label’s it as Blackened Death Doom. Whatever it is, I find it fantastic and since they are from Ukraine, they get a big digital hug from me.

Category VI dropped their third full-length, Firecry, via Moribund Records. Happy to see them still going strong as they are already since 2010 bringing their Power Metal from Canada. If you want to know more about Category VI, I did an interview with vocalist Amanda a few years ago, and you can find it HERE.

What the fuck did I just watch? Haha, this is amazing and funny but on the other side, it’s heavy as fuck. I love the stomping rhythm Arrival of A Train has, it’s almost impossible to not bang along. The song is taken from Tardigrade Inferno‘s upcoming EP, The Arrival of A Train, which will drop on May 17, 2023. Till then, I’ll take a deep dive into their back catalog because this shit is simply irresistible.

Glad to see that Alternative Metallers Juliet Ruin are still flirting with Metalcore, this new song from them is amazing. I wasn’t able to find out if it’s a harbinger of more songs or that Give Me The Crown stands on its own, so make sure to follow them to find out.

I know Natalie Safrosskin from Shape of Despair, where she takes care of the heavenly voices, but it turns out she has a dark and evil side too. Monachopsis Art is a trio that creates a raw and hypnotic form of Black Metal. River of Blood is taken from the album An Empty Existence and was released on March 31, 2023
