After hearing The Banshee, the latest song from Madame Neptune, and a little more investigation about the band, the duo from Germany got high on my wishlist to see live one day. It’s been a while that I heard Occult Rock this good, and it’s highly recommended for everyone who’s into psychedelic Rock and Art.
With a strong focus on melody and the brutal voice from vocalist Argen Death, Ancient Settlers from Spain presents the second single from upcoming EP Transition, out on May 1, 2023. After a few singles and an EP, Autumnus, in 2021, a full-length, Our last Eclipse, in 2022 and a live EP in 2022 the band has a new line-up and Transition is the first one with Argen Death on vocals. You might know Argen Death under her own name Génesis Farias, the vocalist from Vile Hex. I noticed that Ancient Settlers will go on a European tour this summer, and I’ll make sure to catch them live.
And another band I’m going to see live, Godsleep from Greece is on a European tour right now, and they will play on a festival near my hometown. I wasn’t planning on going there as it’s mainly a pop festival but after hearing the just recently released album, Lies to Survive, I just have to go there as I think it will be so much fun to see this energetic Punk Rock live.
Another great find, Not Enough Space from Florida, and I especially love the duo vocals. No Way Out is their latest offering to the Metalcore community, and I think that this community will highly appreciate it.
And another band that’s on a European tour right now and who I’m going to see, Dying Wish, the Metalcore giants from the US. Super stoked for this gig because their 2021 album Fragments of A Bitter Memory still finds its way to my ears and this new song Torn From Your Silhouette is just as great as well.
If Riyah keeps writing songs like Dead Rose, I can predict a great future for her. Riyah is fairly new on the Rock front, and Dead Rose is her second single. Off course, I had a listen to her first one, and it’s just as great, although it’s less rocking than Dead Rose, but it shows how versatile Riyah is.
