After their debut EP, Upside Down from 2022, Stell/\ris now presents a new song, Burnout, and the word is out on the streets that we can look forward to their debut full-length this year. AWESOME!
French Abhcan dropped a video for their song Run, taken from the recently released EP Build & Break. Melodic Heavy Metal and with the occasionally harsh vocals from Lina, it’s become a diverse and interesting tune. I will definitely check out their full-length The Pit from 2020 at a later time.
June Turns Black throws in all their anger in their debut single Hurt Me. What a fantastic debut for this young band, and the balance between the melody and the furious parts are well-balanced. And what a voice, incredible.
Dawn of Ouroboros released today their second full-length, Velvet Incandescence. And what a beast it has become, the Blackened Progressive Metal blast from the speakers at full fury. But vocalist Chelsea manages to bring in some moody atmospheres with her clean vocals, while at other points she screams her lung out.
Bloody Unicorn is new for me, and it turns out the Heavy Lies the Crown, the EP that Bloody Unicorn just recently released is their second one after Of Monsters Under the Bed from 2019. The band hails from Italy and bring an interesting mixture of Symphonic Metal and Death Metal. Definitely a band to look out for.
And another band that likes to mix multiple genres up, the Mighty Vintersea from the US. Unveiling Light is taken from their upcoming third full-length Woven Into Ashes and shall be released via M-Theory Audio on May 5, 2023. Don’t miss out on this one!
