Oryad has been on my radar since they released their fantastic version of Inflammatus from Rossini’s Stabat Mater. I love how Oryad combines the operatic vocals from Moira Murphy with the heavy sound of their instruments and even some blastbeats are incorporated in Eve, the latest single from Oryad which is taken from their upcoming debut full-length Sacred & Profane, out on May 25, 2023. Looking forward to that day.
At the time of writing, Pupil Slicer is on stage at the Roadburn festival, exactly at this moment. I’m not there obviously but wish I would have been there because Pupil Slicer is really killing it with No Temple, the latest single from their sophomore album, Blossom, out on June 2, 2023, via Prosthetic Records. Today is also their start of their European tour, and I’ll catch them on the other day they perform in my country.
Straight in your face Punk, what is not to like about it? Shitfire dropped their latest EP, Shitgenes, two days ago with six songs on it and with one song being rather short, 0.45 seconds to be precise but Shitfire compensate that with the song Old Time which clocks over 5 minutes. And I love the video they produced for In YR Head, it shows what every gig should be, just sheer fun.
If the Beauty and the Beast would have a Metal theme song, it could easily be Eternal from the Spanish Death & Legacy with guest vocals from Jessie Williams, the vocalist from Ankor. Eternal is taken from Death & Legacy’s fourth full-length, D4rk Prophecies, that’s been released this month via Art Gates Records.
Toronto is Broken is the brainchild from Drum & Bass producer Christian Hoffmann who usually doesn’t make Metal so for his first try, he succeeded very well, this single Drip, with vocals from Reebz, is top-notch. I wouldn’t mind if he creates more of this Industrial Rock.
Melodic Hardrockers Disilusive Play presents Sisyphus, taken from their upcoming album Songs for the Non-Existent that shall be released by Wormholedeath Records. If im not mistaken the album shall drop on May 26, 2023.
