Meschera really surprised me with their Blackened Atmospheric Folk, they managed to put the cold and grim from Black Metal into the beauty of Folk and make it sound naturally, as if it’s meant to be. Skazki Chyornyh Lesov is their debut EP and I predict great things from them in the future.

Although Devilskin already exists since 2010, Let Me Breath is my first acquaintance with them and fuck me, this band rocks! Let Me Breath has all the things what’s make a great song, a pounding rhythm, emotional parts, aggression and the powerhouse vocals from Jennie Skulander who can sound real mean also. These kiwi Hardrockers (they are from New Zealand) definitely have a new fan.

I love how Terminal Velocity combines the voices from Celeste Sarmiento, the clean Gothic voice, with the harsh vocals from Jocelyne Minnely. Celeste has been added recently to Terminal Velocity and Go On! is the first single with the two of them on vocals. I hope to hear more from them in the future because this kind of Groove Metal simply sounds great.

Although Future Palace doesn’t need the support from tiny blogs like this one because they already have a large following, I still include them because, well, simply because I like them. Malphas is their latest single and I noticed they will go on a European tour in the fall of this year and definitely will try to catch them live.

Nattsvermer from Norway present its latest single, and it’s the first one with Marit Sofie Strand on vocals and the band got more speedy with the rhythm as when compared to the two previous song the band released. Nattsvermer still holds a wide variety of styles in WDKYDM, but things definitely got more aggressive, also due to Marit’s sore grunts. Definitely a band to keep an eye on.

I usually don’t like Rap mixed with Metal, but the way LYLVC does it surprised me, this actually sounds great. Maybe because the Rap isn’t a big part on Into Nothing, the single that is taken from LYLVC‘s latest EP, Perfect Drug, but I listened to the whole EP, and it is for a few days now on repeat so congrats to LYLVC, they are the first band that combines Rap and Metal that I like.
